How does it work?

It doesn't get any simpler. To use this site all you need to do is register as a member. You then go through a short process of choosing what elements of the community you want to take part in. The only one you must sign up for you is Skillshare - here you get the opportunity to tick all the skills you possess from a list of over 700 - you can choose just one or every one of them! If you then decide to also take part in Toolshare, for example, you do much the same, the only difference being you just tick all the tools you are offering to lend to fellow freeconomists. If you can't find a skill or a tool, you can search for it first.

The whole process will only take about 5-10 minutes, and we think that isn't too long for a lifetime of free help and sharing. And remember, if someone teaches you a new skill, you buy a new tool or a space you have becomes available, you can add it to your list at any point.

Who can use it?

Absolutely anyone! Whether you are young or old, married or single, black or white, rich or poor, Christian or Muslim, male or female, it doesn't matter. All you got to be is willing to help, and to smile, and to help rebuild the community you live in.

How much does it cost?

Freeconomy, surprisingly, is FREE! There is no membership fee, we will not accept donations of money and we receive no income from any source. All we ask is that you pass the favour forward. We are just offering you a tool to build freeconomies and to get to know your neighbours. It is up to you to use it.

Why do we do it? Just for the love of it.
