I completely forgot to tell you all

One of my many passions in life - if you hadn't already noticed - is philosophy. I know what a powerful tool for change it is, especially in the communication age we live in today. Which means I end up writing about it a lot. I've been made aware by some close friends, however, that this means that I always completely forget to keep everyone updated with all the developments that are about to happen with Freeconomy over the coming year! So here goes, my first attempt.

Is moneyless living an insult to those in poverty?

I wrote an article for the ABC website (the Australian version of BBC) recently, and as normal it got the same polarised commentary: some people understood and supported it, and some, let's say, were not so fond of either it or me. This I'm happy to accept as always, though I often wish that those who want to exercise their right to freedom of speech, would also accept the corresponding responsibility to study and reflect on what they are about to comment about, instead of stating an opinion that - it would seem to me - they've taken roughly sixty seconds to form.

What books have influenced you?

We humans like to believe that we own things. This is my house, that is my car, these are my skills, those are my tools. We believe we can claim rights to things that were never ours to begin with, all of which were gifted to us by Nature, or whatever name you would like to call It. This is obvious with things that take on a material form, but much less so in relation to the non-material.
